Specialty Camps
|
An exciting variety of fun awaits you as a
specialty camper. You will experience almost everything LOMC has to offer while
spending a portion of each day on your selected camp program. Many are offered
on-site, but some campers will travel to a nearby location for their activities.
You will live in air conditioned retreat houses.

Construction Camp
Grades
6-9

Construction camp is the camp for you if you enjoy working with your hands and
watching projects take shape. You will learn basic carpentry skills while
working on take-home projects as well as various projects around LOMC. Campers
will be under the supervision of an LOMC maintenance professional. |
Day Camp

A chance for young people to experience camp without the
pressure of staying overnight. Swimming, hiking, Bible Studies, crafts,
and games are all included from arrival at 8:30 every morning until
departure at 4:30 in the afternoon. Lunch and snack are provided daily. |

Are you young, curious, and ready to go!
You can go to Early Ventures, the program designed for early
elementary children. You get special attention in a small group of
campers as you do many exciting things: swim, hike, take a ride on the
pond, do
crafts and play games. You can choose a full week or a half week.
Half week sessions can be combined. You
live in a retreat house with your leader.

activities, specialized outdoor activities combine with theme-based
Bible studies to challenge youth to encounter God and each other.
Animal tracking and casting, astronomy and geology are some of the

Night Owl

This camp gives you
the opportunity to discover LOMC at night while the camp is quiet!
You’ll ease your way into being awake longer each night and sleeping
later into the day, but you won't be "kept in the dark" about nocturnal
happenings. This camp is a hoot!

Junior High SALT is perfect for
individuals who want the SALT experience! An onsite construction project
and offsite service project, a canoe trip, and a high ropes experience
in conjunction with Bible studies, swimming, and games provide an
opportunity for youth to meet new people and put their faith into
action.
Sr. High SALT will go step further, with you working with Hope
Reigns Ranch, Habitat for Humanity, leadership development, Bibles
studies and more. |

studies and studying the Christian tradition? Would you like to apply to
work on the LOMC staff after your senior year in high school?
θHKA will give you
theological and ecological know-how.
θHKA
lasts for two
weeks. The first week is devoted to developing skills to become a Small
Group Assistant, and the second week is spent applying those skills in
ministry with a Small Group Leader, teaching younger campers.
