Specialty Camps
 

An exciting variety of fun awaits you as a specialty camper. You will experience almost everything LOMC has to offer while spending a portion of each day on your selected camp program. Many are offered on-site, but some campers will travel to a nearby location for their activities. You will live in air conditioned retreat houses.

Construction Camp
Grades 6-9

Construction camp is the camp for you if you enjoy working with your hands and watching projects take shape.  You will learn basic carpentry skills while working on take home projects as well as various projects around LOMC.  Campers will be under the supervision of an LOMC maintenance professional.

A chance for young people to experience camp without the pressure of staying overnight. Swimming, hiking, Bible Studies, crafts, and games are all included from arrival at 8:30 every morning until departure at 4:30 in the afternoon. Lunch and snack are provided daily.

Early Ventures Grades 1-3

You’re young, curious, and ready to go!  And you can go to Early Ventures, the program designed for early elementary children.  You get special attention in a small group of campers as you do many exciting things: swim, hike, take a pond ride, do crafts and play games.  You can choose a full week or a half week. You live in a retreat house with your leader.

Encounter I Grades 4-6

Are you ready to take the next step?  In addition to regular camp activities, specialized outdoor activities combine with theme-based Bible studies to challenge youth to encounter God and each other.  Animal tracking and casting, astronomy and geology are some of the activities for your week.  You will be staying in air-conditioned retreat houses.

Golf I Grades 6-8

Bring your clubs to camp and travel to local golf courses to hone your skills or simply learn the game under the watchful eye of LOMC’s golf specialists and staff.  In addition to swing styles and club selection, participants will learn proper golf etiquette, which means collared shirts are required when on the course.

What would LOMC have to offer an all-around sports-minded enthusiast like yourself?  Softball?  Basketball?  Soccer?  Swimming?  Sand volleyball?  How about all of these and more?  Look no further if you enjoy learning and playing new and familiar team and individual sports.
Choose Sports I if you want to improve your basic skills and coordination.  You will have friendly sportsmanship, too.

Interested in environmental studies and studying the Christian tradition? Would you like to apply to work on the LOMC staff after your senior year in high school? This two year program is for you!
θHKA lasts for two weeks; one week devoted to learning and the other week spent working with a Small Group Leader and campers.

Trail Riders I Grades 4-6

Saddle up for this camp.  Trail Riders will add care of horses, barn tasks and a daily ride to their other camp activities in this exciting program.  Campers will travel to a local ranch for their instruction and rides.
